Knipoch
Back to Argyll & Stirling Hotels

On the shores of Loch Feochan situated on the historic burial route of the Kings' from Scone Palace to Iona, Knipoch is a house with a long history dating from 1592. It looks out at the sun setting over the hills of Lorn which rise beyond the loch. Nowadays it is a family-run luxury hotel with an emphasis on good food for which it has received various awards. Wines also feature strongly with a 360-bin list of personally selected wines.
The well-stocked bar includes a large range of malt whiskies, some distilled before the war. Each bedroom is elegantly furnished and includes radio, television, telephone and a private bathroom with bath and shower. Tea making facilities in all rooms. In general it appeals to the more discriminating traveller. It is an ideal centre for touring Argyll.
