"The
area is a Mecca for golfers" Mansfield House, built in the
1870s and substantially extended in 1902 by the Provost of Tain, retains its original
features including pine panelling and ornate plaster ceilings. It is perfectly
situated for touring the Highlands, with all parts accessible through a series
of 3-5 one day drives, and has at least 8 excellent golf courses within 30 minutes.
The Hotel has been extensively refurbished recently and
all rooms are en suite, with colour TVs, trouser presses etc. Those in the Victorian
part of the house have been furnished to deluxe standard with antique furniture
and many bathrooms have Jacuzzis. Food, served in our two restaurants, is of the
highest standard and draws extensively on fresh local seafood and game. The hotel
has gained several awards for hospitality and cuisine. |
