Philipburn Country House Hotel re-opened in May 1998 after a complete refurbishment. The resulting hotel can only be described as stunning, some rooms are split-level, and some have jacuzzi bath. The service and cuisine are of the highest standard and our chef prides himself on utilising only the freshest produce in both our informal Charlie's Bar & Bistro and in Restaurant "1745".
Philipburn is centrally located in the beautiful Scottish Borders offering an indulgent escape from the everyday, and yet is only an hour's drive from Edinburgh, so why not spoil yourself? The hotel has its own salmon and trout fishing locally, together with all supporting facilities. An ideal base for a week's fishing.
