Explore Madrid
Be sure to visit the San Lorenzo de El Escorial Monastery, considered one of the eight world wonders, Alcala de Henares, a renaissance spot that was declared a World Heritage Site, and the Royal Palace. If you are seeking grand art and museums then you will be pleased with Madrid's large selection. The famous, Paseo del Arte (Art Walk), is made up of three incredible museums that are located very close to one another: the Prado Museum, the Thyssen Bornernisza Museum, and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia. The Prado Museum exhibits sixteenth, seventeenth, and twentieth century art and is considered by many experts to be the first art gallery of the world. You can observe works by Goya, Velazques, El Greco, Rafael and many others.

Don't forget about viewing traditional Spanish activities! There are bull-fighting shows at the famous Plaza de las Ventas and flamenco tours as well. And after a day of excitement, why not continue the fun into the night. Madrid offers a world-class, vibrant nightlife. There are live-music venues, bars, pubs, nightclubs and mega-discos that stay open all night. But before you go to bed, be sure to try a traditional chocolate con churros (churros and hot chocolate)!

Explore Barcelona
Be sure to walk down the famous La Rambla, lined with florist stands, that leads to the Mediterranean Sea. And keep your eyes open for art everywhere as it is found in the architecture. Barcelona is an open-air museum, as the streets are filled with fantasy by architects such as Gaudi. Be sure to see the Park Guell, the Palau Guell and Casa Mila "La Pedrera", just some of Gaudi's works that were declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Barcelona offers a paradise for shoppers. The Barcelona Shopping Line is an area made up of 5 kilometers of pedestrian streets that has old shops, full of flavor and history, mixed with modernist structures and boutiques. But if you would rather be at the beach, than you can go sailing, windsurfing, snorkeling or scuba diving. And you can always indulge in the wonderful seafood offered in the side-walk restaurants. There truly is something for everyone!
